About PathToUS
Making the path to U.S. visas, green cards and citizenship clearer for Chinese-speaking applicants.
Who we are
PathToUS is created and maintained by Aaron, together with the PathToUS team, who write the guides, compile the data and build the apps. We have been through visas, green cards and naturalization ourselves and know how many documents there are, how fast the rules change and how scattered the information is, so we organize official information in Chinese and English around the real situations Chinese applicants face.
What we offer: immigration guides, Visa Bulletin and processing times, citizenship test practice, a community, a directory of Chinese-speaking immigration lawyers, document translation, and two apps: PathToUS Citizenship and 美签专家 (US Visa Interview Prep).
Where the data comes from and how often it is updated
- Priority dates (Visa Bulletin), visa appointment waits and NVC and consulate progress come from the State Department (travel.state.gov); processing times, forms and fees come from USCIS (uscis.gov); new rules come from the Federal Register (federalregister.gov).
- Priority dates and processing times are updated monthly, with the check date on every page; the policy tracker is checked monthly; every guide shows when it was last checked against official sources and is revised when rules change.
- Applicant experiences are publicly shared reports, labeled with their source and date and kept separate from official data.
Not affiliated with the government
PathToUS is an independent private website and app family. It is not a U.S. government website and is not affiliated with or endorsed by USCIS, the State Department or any government agency. We compile public information and do not give legal advice; for your own case, rely on the official websites or talk to a licensed immigration lawyer.
